My friend, when he found out that I had retrained as an artist, looked at the pictures and said only one thing - you need to paint with oil!
Our people love to give advice when they are not asked.
I don't paint with oils! And I don't want to!
💥 And today I will tell you why I paint with acrylics.
I fell in love with acrylic from the first stroke. Bright, shiny, dries very quickly, easily washed off hands and surfaces (if not overdried, of course). And it paints itself very easily. Let's say you put a layer, but you didn't like it! We wait 5 minutes in total and apply a new one. And apply again if necessary.
Acrylic mixes easily. Experimentally, you can get a variety of shades. You can't always buy everything you want! Although the choice in stores is stunned, what a great one. Just huge!
Acrylic has a couple of things to get used to.
* When dry, it darkens. Therefore, I always take a lighter tone than necessary. I add white paint.
* When acrylic dries, the image of the painting becomes flat, not alive. Therefore, the finished painting must be varnished. This further protects the paint from fading. And the picture becomes deeper, more voluminous and the colors begin to play.
Well, is it clear why I love acrylic? What do you see in the pictures: what is written or the plot?
